Emma is an illustrator, animator, educator, and maker of things based in Cheltenham, UK. With a focus on colour and texture, she is drawn to subjects such as flora and fauna, as well as the everyday, through relatable stories or by highlighting small moments of joy. She works with inks and gouache traditionally, but also includes a lot of digital and Risograph printing in her practice.

Emma loves making and is a proud self-publisher and printer, running a small travelling version of her shop at both UK markets and abroad. She also runs several imprints for a local press, including the Cheltenham Illustration Awards and has created animations for charities and independent causes through the Arts Council.

Emma’s work is colourful, playful and characterful, where drawing on location and in a sketchbook forms a large part of her image-making. While she's not dreaming up the next autobiographical zine or doodling rabbits, Emma can often be found swimming in the sea, hurtling across town on her bike, or by her garden veg patch- with her hands in the soil.
